The recently completed 6th International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC 2010) has now released a range of material for viewing. It offers videos of keynotes, interviews with participants and other uploads as well as tweets (#idcc10) which have been aggregated at the Conference’s LIVE! page.

“To promote open education is needed more interaction”
Wednesday, October 6th, 2010Brian Kelly has been featured in an interview published in El Punt, an online journal published in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. The interview took place when Brian gave a seminar on What Can We Learn From Amplified Events? at the University of Girona on 3 September 2010. For those who do not understand the Catalan language an English language version is available which is produced by the Google Translate service. Although the quality of the translation is less than ideal, it does help to convey the underlying message.

Monday, June 14th, 2010The JISC/CNI Meeting 2010 planned by JISC and the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) will take place over 1-2 July 2010 and will be held at the Barcelo Carlton Hotel, Edinburgh. The conference will be organised by UKOLN and will bring together experts from the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom. The conference theme this year is Managing Data in Difficult Times: policies, strategies, technologies and infrastructure to manage research and teaching data in a fast changing technological and economic environment. Topics for sessions include Cloud Computing, Innovation in Learning and Teaching, Open Data Policies, Shared Services, Repositories, Digital Content and Institutional Planning, Resource Discovery, Digital Preservation and e-Science.
