The Digital Curation Centre (DCC) has recently published the draft programme
for the 6th International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC10
)to be held over 6 – 8 December 2010 at the Chicago Mart Plaza, Chicago, USA. The theme of the Conference this year will be Participation and Practice: Growing the Curation Community through the Data Decade. The Conference will be presented jointly by the Digital Curation Centre, UK and the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and in partnership with the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI). The first day of the conference will look at how data curation practices are evolving and spreading throughout the disciplines and what institutional structures and communities are needed to help support these developments. On the second day papers will be presented in two tracks of themed parallel sessions: a Research Track, with papers presenting research results, and a Practice Track, with papers describing experiences with tools and practices.
