Next year’s IWMW 2011 will be held at the University of Reading from Tuesday 26 – Wednesday 27 July 2011. An Ideascale site has been set up to collect ideas for the event.

Thursday, November 18th, 2010Ann Chapman of UKOLN has provided a report to the MLA entitled Authentication Services for Public Libraries in which she describes the current situation, reviews how single sign-on authentication would benefit public libraries and e-content providers alike, and outlines proposals for a national strategy for the future. This report was commissioned by, and is jointly published by MLA.

to be held from 30 November to 2 December 2010 at Olympia, London. Brian Kelly will be talking on Moving from Personal to Organisational Use of the Social Web and Marieke Guy will give a presentation entitled Home, Work, Work, Home!? How Information Professionals Can Exploit Blurred Boundaries.
DevCSI ePub/eBook Hackday
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010The DevCSI (Developer Community Supporting Innovation) Project has organised a free 2-day event in Bristol over 13-14 December 2010 in conjunction with the JISC-funded Application Profiles Support Project. This hackday event will bring together software developers, project managers and users particularly (though not exclusively) in Higher Education who share an interest in eBooks and particularly the open ePUB standard for ebooks.
