About The Speakers
Nick Sheppard
Nick will be talking about his experiences developing a “blended”repository for research and Open Educational Resources at Leeds Metropolitan University using the commercial repository platform intraLibrary. In keeping with the theme of the day he will be focussing on the JISC funded ukoer project Unicycle- http://unicycle-leedsmet.ning.com/ – describing the Application Profile that was used for the project as well as considering questions of metadata interoperability in the context of JorumOpen -
http://www.jorum.ac.uk/ – and latterly the HEFCE funded ALPS CETL repository project – http://acerep.wordpress.com/ – which is exploring SWORD and OAI-PMH to facilitate selective deposit into multiple repositories and cross-search of those repositories.

Jodie Double
Jodie Double is Digital Content and Repositories Manager at the University of Leeds – leading development and monitoring of the repository services (WRRO/WREO and LUDOS) in addition to advising on metadata and digital content related issues for the Library and the University. Prior to moving to Yorkshire last year she managed a large multimedia design archive and was a founding member and co-director of the Digital Content Library at the University of Minnesota. Jodie is currently enjoying her second warm winter of her life in Yorkshire compared to the usual brutal cold of Minnesota but does miss the warm sunny summers and is slightly concerned about rickets due to lack of sunshine in the UK.
