Based on work completed alongside the Jisc-funded FixRep Project, this paper explores the motivations and facts underlying the use of repository tools to alter items following their deposit in an institutional repository.

UK Web Focus has been published by Brian Kelly since November 2006.  In his 1,000th post on this blog published earlier today, Brian announced this new award and highlighted the importance of openness in the sector  as exemplified by this blog over its years of publication.

The UK Web Focus blog is provided by Brian Kelly. As described in a post about the fifth anniversary of the blog, it was launched on 1 November 2006 and there have now been 994 posts published.

If you would like to vote for this blog you should visit the Computer Weekly Social Media Awards 2011 page.  The award winners will be announced on Tuesday 29 November so there may be an opportunity for a celebratory 1,000th post!
