An ideascale site has been set up for the Institutional Web Management Workshop 2009 to allow the Web management community share ideas on topics for the Workshop. This year’s IWMW will be held at the University of Essex, Colchester Campus, from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 July 2009 and the call for participations is currently open.

The University of Bath’s OPuS (Online Publications Store) service, the online archive for University of Bath research publications, was launched on 3 February 2009 by Professor Jane Millar, the University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research).
As described in a blog post UKOLN staff were in attendance at the launch and captured the talks about this new service on video.

Brian Kelly will facilitate a workshop on “Exploiting the Potential of Web 2.0 and the Social Web” on behalf of Renaissance West Midlands. The workshop will be held at The Herbert, Coventry, on 26 February 2009.
Stephanie Taylor of UKOLN led a workshop at the latest RSP Services Day held at the University of Bath.
Entitled, “Repositories – The Future”, the workshop explored the possible repositories landscape of the future. Participants were encouraged not only to imagine the future, but to develop their own ideas and plans for shaping that future themselves.
