Among Rachel’s many other distinctions, her influence in this field will continue to make itself felt for a long while to come, and of course far more widely. Speaking personally, our conversation over lunch at this meeting was the only time I ever met her, but her comments were (typically, as I understand from those who knew her) forthright, practical, knowledgable and constructive.
